International “Carving Festival of Laughter” second edition.
“Carving Festival of Laughter” second edition will be held in Gabrovo on 19th and 20th of May 2018, within the International Festival of Humor and Satire.The Organizers of the event are Gabrovo Municipality and Bulgarian Carving Association.
Thirty participants from five countries – carving specialists from Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Serbia and South Korea arrive in Gabrovo on 19 th and 20th of May to become part of the second edition of the International Carving Festival of Laughter. The event will take place in front of the “Vazrazhdane” hall from 11 am to 2 pm.
The participants will work for two days divided in rounds. The theme of the first day is “Laughter” and they have their own emotions and imagination for the second day. They will be able to unleash their fantasy and show their ideas, skills and precision.
The representative jury is from South Korea and Romania and will assess highly the ideas, mastery and attractiveness of the works, rather than the taste.
Martin Chiffers – the world-renowned chocolate maker will be a special guest of the event. He will be challenge to work with gabrovian chocolate – made of prunes.
On 18th May, at 17.30 at the Soprano Club, Martin Chiffers will have his own sculpting chocolate demonstration. Admission free.
Will have also clay demonstration, along with the sculptures of fruits and vegetables. Ruse and Burgas Art schools will be our guests presenting ceramic exhibition.
